Queer-owned bathhouse and wellness space in Montavilla.
Hawks PDX is a queer-owned bathhouse and wellness space in Portland's Montavilla area, and it deliberately breaks from the old bathhouse template. The facility runs on a stated framework of wellness, consent, and liberation: a sober-supportive environment open to LGBTQIA2S+ and gender-diverse guests, with a hot tub, steam sauna, swimming pool, private cabins, and an outdoor patio built around a firepit. What sets it apart is the programming. Hawks partners with Multnomah County on sexual-health services and hosts gatherings you won't find at a conventional men's-only club: trans and gender-diverse socials, bi nights, and themed events that treat the space as community infrastructure as much as a place to unwind. As one of the few gay-identified bathhouses left in the city, it's worth knowing about whether you're local or just passing through and looking for somewhere that takes care seriously.
