Wedding queer café-bar with readings, film nights, and FLINTA* events
Curly is a queer café-bar in Berlin's Wedding district, in the former Moritz-Bar space that closed in 2019. It's run by the team behind Neukölln's long-running Silverfuture, and it functions as a community anchor in a part of the city with a fast-growing queer presence rather than as a nightclub. The programming leans cultural and low-key: barista coffee and cake by day, then a small stage hosting drag king shows, readings, jam sessions, quiz nights, concerts, and queer dating evenings. Under FLINTA*-led management it's deliberately affordable and welcoming, with recurring nights aimed at lesbians and the wider FLINTA* community. For travelers it's a gentler, conversation-first alternative to Schöneberg's gear bars, worth the trip north if you want a queer evening that isn't built around a darkroom.
