Freedom Valley is a men's campground on 120 acres of woods along the Vermilion River in Huron County, Ohio, 58 miles southwest of Cleveland by the campground's own mileage table and 32 miles from Cedar Point. It opened in 2007 under the tagline Where Men Camp, is run by its four owners, and marks 20 years in 2027. The season runs April through October with a themed weekend every week. The rules allow nudity only in designated areas, and the seasonal campers' group is open to men over 21. A season membership is $15, added to your first booking. There are 14 cabins (eight standard, four sleeper, two deluxe), four rental trailers, a bunkhouse that sleeps eight, 36 numbered RV and pop-up sites and tent sites. Posted rates before tax start at $25 per person for a primitive tent site on a weeknight, $40 for a pop-up or RV site, $100 for a standard cabin, $130 for a sleeper, $150 for a deluxe and $180 for a rental trailer. Day passes are $20 on weekdays and $28 on weekends, events and holidays. The heated pool is the center of camp, with pond fishing, a dog park, trails and Club Steampunk for dancing and karaoke. Pets stay leashed in common areas and out of the pool area and buildings.
