Las Vegas, Nevada
Fruit Loop gay bookstore and gift shop near the Strip.
Get Booked is the gay bookstore and gift shop anchoring the Fruit Loop, the cluster of LGBTQ+ businesses along Paradise Road just east of the Strip that Nevada moved to recognize as a cultural district in 2025. Its roots run deep: the shop traces back to Bright Pink Literature, which Rob Schlegel opened in 1987 as Las Vegas's first commercial LGBT bookstore, before new owners renamed it Get Booked in 1993. That makes it one of the longest-running queer retail spaces in the city. Inside it's a small but well-stocked shop that covers a lot of ground: LGBTQ+ books and magazines, Pride flags and merchandise, greeting cards, jewelry, gifts, underwear and swimwear, plus adult novelties toward the back. It's the kind of bricks-and-mortar spot that's increasingly rare, and an easy stop if you're already wandering the Fruit Loop's bars.
