HAMAM is an authentic Turkish bath spa in Puerto Vallarta's Zona Romántica, the city's established gay neighborhood. The signature two-hour hammam ritual moves through dry sauna, steam room, full-body exfoliation with Moroccan black olive eucalyptus soap and a Kessa glove, foam bath, ice treatment, clay face mask, aromatic tea, and a finishing oil massage on a heated stone slab. Staff trained in Istanbul and Marrakesh, and unlike traditional hammams, one therapist handles the entire sequence start to finish. Opened in 2019, HAMAM is owned by Tom Budniak, part of PV's LGBTQ+ business community. The spa also offers Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, and aromatherapy massages, with sessions available for men, women, and couples. Two dedicated hammam rooms accommodate up to five guests at once. The interior is larger than the Lázaro Cárdenas storefront suggests — Turkish lamps, Middle Eastern music, and a 4.5-star Google rating across 140-plus reviews.
