BeefDip Bear Week 2027: Puerto Vallarta Schedule, Dog Tags, Hotels & Parties
BeefDip returns to Puerto Vallarta January 24–31, 2027 with nine days of pool, beach and club parties across the Zona Romántica. The official schedule is out: here is every party, what the Dog Tag covers, and where to stay.

BeefDip Bear Week is the original bear week in Puerto Vallarta, running since 2002 over the last week of January, and the 2027 edition is Sunday, January 24 to Sunday, January 31, 2027, with a pre-welcome party on Saturday the 23rd. The organizers have already published the full nine-day program: pool and foam parties at Blue Chairs and Hotel Delfin by day, club nights at CC Slaughters until 5 AM, a neon beach party, the Tidal Wave charity pool party and the Friday booze cruise. Everything happens within a few blocks of each other in the Zona Romántica. This guide covers the schedule, the Dog Tag passes, the partner hotels and the bars around it.

- Charity: SETAC (HIV and STI education in Vallarta) and RISE Orphanage, funded mainly through the Tidal Wave pool party, which has raised over $145,000 CAD
- Sells out: the organizers say tags have sold out in previous years
Pro Tip
Only the Gold tag includes the booze cruise. The organizers have listed stand-alone cruise tickets at $150 USD in past years, so if you want the boat, Gold is the cheaper way in.

- Welcome Party on the Blue Chairs rooftop, 3 PM to midnight. Dog Tag pickup is at the Blue Chairs lobby Saturday through Monday

- Foam Pool Party at Blue Chairs, noon to 6 PM
- Dinner Under the Stars at The Tryst restaurant, evening (opt-in, not included)
- Flower Power Disco at CC Slaughters, 10 PM to 5 AM
Tuesday, January 26
- SPLASH! Classic Anthems Pool Party at Hotel Delfin, 11 AM to 7 PM. Tag pickup moves to the Hotel Delfin lobby Tuesday through Thursday
- Bearaoke on the Blue Chairs rooftop, 9:30 PM
- Red Ball at CC Slaughters, 10 PM to 5 AM

- Furball Pool Party at Hotel Delfin, noon to 7 PM
- White Party at CC Slaughters, 10 PM until late

- BeefDip on All 4's ATV Adventure with Wild Trek ATV Tours, 10 AM (opt-in, tag discount)
- Tidal Wave Fundraiser Pool Party at Hotel Delfin, noon to 6 PM, free for tag holders. This is the charity party
- Jungle Lust Neon Beach Party on Blue Chairs beach, 7 PM to 1 AM
- Papa Dirk Rooftop Cigar Social at the Blue Chairs rooftop bar, 8 to 10 PM

- SWEAT: Singlet, Underwear & Jockstrap Party at CC Slaughters, 10 PM to close
Pro Tip
The daytime parties run noon to 6 or 7 and the club nights start at 10, which leaves a four-hour gap every evening. That is when the Lázaro Cárdenas bars fill up: CC Slaughters, Industry, La Noche and Mr. Flamingo are all on the same block.
Bear Week Beyond BeefDip
BeefDip is the anchor, but the last week of January has become Puerto Vallarta's bear week as a whole, and other promoters run parties around it. Listings for 2027 include Mantamar Beach Club's bear week pool parties from January 25, BearFest by Industry from January 26, and the Mad Bear foam party at Blue Chairs on Friday, January 29 (11 AM to 6 PM, with Benjamin Koll and Bearland's Nalgaroth on the decks). Those are separate tickets from the Dog Tag.

Where to Stay for BeefDip 2027
BeefDip does not sell travel packages. For 2026 the organizers named Hotel Delfin as host hotel, The Tryst as a sponsor hotel and Blue Chairs as their longtime partner, and the 2027 rates had not been posted on their travel page when this guide went up. The two venues with rooms are the ones to book first, because the pool parties happen in the building.
- Blue Chairs Resort: on the beach at the south end of Los Muertos, with the rooftop and beach parties downstairs. Book direct at bluechairs.com
- Hotel Delfin: on Francisco I. Madero a few blocks in, the daytime pool-party venue. The organizers say to book directly with the hotel's reservations desk
- The Tryst Hotel: on Insurgentes, the rooftop for the pre-welcome party and the Sunday drag brunch
- Casa Cupula: the gay boutique hotel up the hill in Amapas, a ten-minute walk from the strip
Pro Tip
The Zona Romántica is walkable: Blue Chairs, CC Slaughters, Hotel Delfin and The Tryst are all within about ten minutes of each other on foot. Amapas and Conchas Chinas, up the hill to the south, are the quieter places to sleep.
Getting There
- Airport: Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International (PVR), about 25 minutes by taxi to the Zona Romántica. Pre-paid taxi counters are inside the terminal
- Getting around: everything in this guide is on foot. The Malecón connects Los Muertos beach to downtown in about twenty minutes
- Money: the Dog Tag is priced in Canadian dollars online; on the ground, pesos get you better prices than USD at most bars

Tags are not mailed. In 2026 pickup was at the Blue Chairs lobby Saturday through Monday and the Hotel Delfin lobby Tuesday through Thursday; the 2027 pickup hours were not yet posted.
Is the booze cruise included?
Only with the Gold tag. It leaves from the pier by Hotel Delfin on Friday, January 29, with check-in at 9 AM.
What charity does BeefDip support?
SETAC, which runs HIV and STI education and testing in Vallarta, and RISE Orphanage. The Tidal Wave pool party on Thursday is the fundraiser.
