Denver, Colorado
Drag bingo, drag brunch, and burgers in a purple City Park West house.
Hamburger Mary’s Denver is the Denver outpost of the national burger-and-drag chain, set in a little purple converted house in City Park West at 1336 E 17th Avenue. The Hamburger Mary’s brand first landed in Denver back in 2006 a few blocks east, and after that original spot dropped the franchise and eventually closed, the name was revived in this house in 2016. The draw is camp dinner-theater: drag bingo on Wednesdays, weekend drag dinner shows, and a Sunday drag brunch with bottomless mimosas, rounded out by weeknight karaoke, trivia, and a recurring variety showcase. It’s more dinner-and-a-show than late-night club — families, birthday groups, and bachelorette parties fill the booths as much as the regulars do — which makes it an easy, low-stakes entry point to Denver’s drag scene if you’re new in town. The food leans American comfort, and the whole room is built around the stage.
