Havana Bar & Grill is the Latin gay spot on Cedar Springs, sitting at the Throckmorton corner in the thick of Oak Lawn. It works as a restaurant earlier in the evening and turns into a Latin dance club after dark, when the floor and covered patio fill with salsa, reggaeton, and merengue alongside hip-hop and pop. Drag performances run most nights, and the room skews 21-and-up. It is one of the few spaces in the gayborhood built specifically around Dallas's Latinx LGBTQ+ community, which gives it a different sound and crowd than the pop-and-Top-40 clubs nearby.
