New Milford, Pennsylvania
Members-only, clothing-optional men's campground in the Endless Mountains, May to September
Hillside is a private, members-only campground for men 21 and over in Susquehanna County, in the hills of northeastern Pennsylvania near the New York line. The campground describes itself as an all-male community that has run for more than 40 seasons, and it operates May through the end of September. Once you are inside the gate the property is clothing optional; clothing is required in the office and outside the gate, and nudity at the pool is fine but sexual activity is not. Sites run from community tenting and standard tent sites to RV sites, glamping sites, standard and premium cabins and a luxury rental RV, plus seasonal sites for regulars. The posted rate card, still labelled 2025, lists tent sites from $50 a night on weekdays and RV sites from $60, with higher weekend and holiday pricing, and a seasonal membership of $30. Day passes are sold too, cheapest Monday through Thursday. The center of camp is the pool, Club Inferno for dancing, Embers Cafe and the Splash Cafe, a camp store, nature trails and a nightly bonfire. Themed weekends run through the season, including an Illumination weekend. Pets are welcome on a leash but cannot go in cabins, rental RVs, the rec hall, the cafe or the pool area.

We verified 32 LGBTQ+ campgrounds in the US, from 700-acre men's retreats in the Ozarks to a women-only resort in Michigan's Thumb. This guide covers every one we could verify from the campground's own website: who's welcome, what clothing optional means there, what you can sleep in, what it costs and when the season runs.

After 40 the velvet rope matters less and the pool deck matters more. Here are the six destinations that deliver, the bear weeks and cruises built for a slower pace, and where to stay in each, drawn from our venue listings and event guides.

Circuit parties are the big dance weekends on the gay calendar. Here's what they are, where the name came from, what actually happens, what to wear, and which one to pick first.

The practical first-timer's guide to drag: what people actually wear, how much cash to bring, how to hand a tip to a queen without making it weird, and what the room expects of you.

A gay bar is a bar. Here's what actually happens on a normal night, why walking in alone is easier than you think, and how to pick the right one for your first time.
