Neighborhood gay tavern on Syracuse's Northside with Sunday brunch and weekend drag
Wolf's Den is a neighborhood gay tavern on Syracuse's Northside, open since 2013. The room has a traditional pub feel, hardwood floors and a big oak bar, with pool, darts, and a digital jukebox for the regulars. Weeknights stay quiet and conversational; weekends bring drag performances and themed DJ nights that liven the place up. Its signature is the all-homemade Sunday brunch, a spread that runs from after Labor Day through the spring and goes dark over the summer. The bar is closed Tuesdays and functions as much as a community space as a watering hole for the Northside's LGBTQ+ crowd. It's the low-key counterpoint to the downtown club scene, the spot for a relaxed pint and good conversation rather than a late night out.
