Syracuse, New York
Syracuse's only gay nightclub — 30 years of drag shows and DJs till 4 AM
Trexx is Syracuse's only gay nightclub, running for roughly three decades on North Clinton Street downtown. The layout is built around a large dance floor with two bars, plus a lounge room, pool tables, an arcade corner, and a smoking patio. Drag shows anchor Thursday and Saturday nights, followed by DJ sets that keep the floor open into the early morning on weekends. The club has long been a launchpad for local drag talent, with hosts who've held court here for years, and the crowd runs diverse and college-friendly. Thursday is student night, open to the 18-and-up set, with a higher cover for the 18-to-20 crowd and a token cover for everyone 21 and up. It's cash only, so hit an ATM first. As the last dedicated gay club standing in the city, Trexx carries Syracuse nightlife largely on its own.
