Part of the Gay Key West Guide — bars, events & things to do.

Key West, Florida
A clothing-optional resort for gay men on Fleming Street since 1976.
Island House is a 21+ resort exclusively for gay men, founded on Fleming Street in 1976 and now spread across a multi-building campus a short walk from Duval. The property is clothing-optional throughout except the gym, with a heated pool, a large hot tub, a sauna, and a 24-hour café and poolside bar at the core of it. A daily poolside happy hour comes with the stay. As one of the oldest gay-owned and operated guesthouses in the Florida Keys, it carries a different weight than the newer adults-only inns. It has been a fixture of gay Key West for nearly half a century, and the all-day food, round-the-clock bar, and on-site amenities mean guests can spend a full day without leaving the gates. For gay men who want a self-contained resort rather than a base for bar-hopping, it's the benchmark on the island.
