Lava Lounge is a Vegas-themed cocktail bar on Cedar Springs Road in the heart of Oak Lawn, and one of the newer arrivals on the strip. It sets itself apart from the neighborhood's dive bars with a polished interior, a real light-and-sound rig, and a focus on craft cocktails and bottle service rather than cheap pours. It's a smaller, more designed room than the big dance clubs nearby, which makes it a good first stop to start a night on the strip or a quieter alternative when you don't want a packed floor. Because the space is intimate, table reservations are worth it on busy nights.
