Part of the Gay Denver Guide — bars, events & things to do.
Denver, Colorado
Laid-back South Broadway neighborhood bar known for frozen cocktails.
Li'l Devils bills itself as the neighborhood bar that happens to be a gay bar, and that's the right read — a laid-back room on the South Broadway strip in Baker, south of downtown, that's drawn locals for more than a decade. The draw is the cocktails, handcrafted and frozen and poured strong, in a warm, low-key space that fills with regulars rather than a see-and-be-seen crowd. There's a patio that's the real prize on warm nights, and the bar stays open late toward the weekend. It's an unpretentious spot to start or end a night along SoBo, a short walk from the antique shops and music venues that line Broadway — worth knowing if you want Denver gay nightlife without the volume of the Colfax clubs.
