Part of the Gay Dallas Guide — bars, events & things to do.

Dallas, Texas
Maple Avenue nightclub with drag shows and a patio.
Marty's Live is a male-dancer bar on Maple Avenue, opened in 2014 by Lonzie Hershner in memory of his brother Marty and run by the same people behind the Tin Room. Alongside the go-go dancers, the calendar makes room for drag shows and a regular talent night, and there's a dance floor and a patio. It's become one of the anchors of Black LGBTQ+ nightlife in Dallas, with a warm, regular-heavy crowd and bartenders people come back for. It sits a little off the Cedar Springs strip on Maple, closer to Kaliente, so it pairs naturally with a Latin- and Black-scene night out rather than the main Oak Lawn bar crawl.
