Part of the Gay Manchester Guide — bars, events & things to do.

Manchester, England
Rooms above the New Union showbar on the corner of Canal Street
The New Union Hotel is the accommodation side of the New Union, the showbar on the corner of Princess Street and Canal Street. The building has been a pub since around 1860, and the venue says it was one of the first openly gay venues in Manchester. Staying here puts you directly above the bar and steps from everything on Canal Street, so it suits travellers who want to be in the middle of the Village; light sleepers may want to look further afield. Rooms are booked through the venue's website.
