Part of the Gay New York City Guide — bars, events & things to do.

New York City, New York
East Village gay dive with bear-friendly nights, karaoke, and cheap drinks
Nowhere is a basement gay dive bar on East 14th Street that's been part of the East Village since the building went up in 1835 — the current incarnation reopened in 2015 after a brief closure. Low ceilings, dim lighting, a disco ball, a pool table in the back, and cheap drinks. The crowd skews bear-friendly but pulls in a genuine mix across the queer spectrum, with a strict no-attitude, no-ageism policy. The weekly lineup is specific: Macho Mondays (go-go boys, DJ Ryko, $10 cover), Dyke Beer Happy Hour on Tuesdays, RuPaul's Drag Race viewing parties on Fridays, and monthly parties like FUZZY (bears and friends, fourth Friday) and Double Headed Disco (last Saturday). Sunday Funday runs all day with happy hour and free pool.
