South Congress bistro with drag brunch on 1st and 3rd Saturdays
Ovenbird is a neighborhood bistro and craft coffee shop on far South Congress Avenue in Austin, run by owner and executive chef Sarah Koslosky, who cooks from scratch in a style she calls "Tex-Baltic" after her Lithuanian heritage. Weekend brunch has its own rotating menu. On the first and third Saturday of every month the patio becomes Drag Brunch on SoCo, with the TwoFaced cast hosted by Malibu Imported and drink and food specials for drag days only. It's a Gay Friendly restaurant rather than a gay bar, and the drag Saturdays are when to go.
