Dade City, Florida
Year-round LGBTQ+ camping resort near Tampa with RV sites, cabins, four bars and a nightclub
Sawmill is a private-membership LGBTQ+ camping and residential resort for adults 21 and over in Dade City, about 50 miles northeast of Tampa, and it is open 365 days a year. Its own rules put the welcome broadly: an LGBTQ+ camping community where everyone is welcome. Clothing is optional in most areas of the resort except the office, store and restaurant, and the pool is clothing optional. Every guest needs a membership for the length of their stay; day memberships start at $15. The resort has RV sites with hookups, cabins and a tenting area, booked through Campspot by date rather than from a posted rate card. Check-in is at 4 PM and checkout at 11 AM. The nightlife is the distinctive part: four bars including Woody's Nightclub and a cigar bar, a main stage, the Splash Cafe, Lucy's General Store open around the clock, a heated outdoor pool, the Spa at Sawmill, a walking area around Ricki Lake and EV charging. Themed event weekends run through the year. Pets without a history of aggression are permitted, with a $25 fee in certain cabins and no pets in cabins 26 to 31; only service animals are allowed at the pool, in the courtyard and in food areas.
