A hybrid coffee shop and cocktail bar on 14th Street near U Street, billed as DC's LGBTQ+ "third place" and open to everyone. It opened in March 2025 in the former Gibson space and shifts character through the day: a bright, all-ages café with plenty of outlets in the morning, an easygoing queer lounge by night. The hook is its approach to drinking — every cocktail comes in both a full-proof and a zero-proof version, and the menu runs to kava and adaptogen drinks, so sober and sober-curious regulars are treated as the default rather than an afterthought. That makes it a different kind of room than the rest of the strip's bars: low-key, conversation-friendly, and as workable for an afternoon coffee as a late drink. Programming leans social — happy hours, recurring community events, and themed nights — and the crowd skews to people who want a queer space that isn't built entirely around alcohol. Worth knowing if you're meeting friends early, staying off the booze, or just want somewhere on 14th you can settle into for a few hours.
