Las Vegas, Nevada
Southern Nevada's LGBTQ+ community center, downtown on Maryland Parkway.
The LGBTQ Center of Southern Nevada, known locally as The Center, has anchored the community since its founding in 1993, and today operates from the Robert L. Forbuss Building on South Maryland Parkway in downtown Las Vegas. It's one of Nevada's largest and longest-running LGBTQ+ organizations, and while it isn't a nightlife stop, it's the first place many locals and newcomers turn for resources. Its on-site health center offers free HIV and STI testing for Nevada residents along with a sexual-health clinic, primary care, a pharmacy, and behavioral-health services, and you don't have to be LGBTQ+ to use them. Beyond health, The Center runs dedicated programs for youth, seniors, and the transgender community, plus support groups, cultural events, a lending library, and a computer center. For a queer traveler it's a useful anchor point; for residents it's a genuine hub.
