Dewy Rose, Georgia
Clothing-optional gay campground with 175+ sites, 30 cabins and a heated pool, 90 miles east of Atlanta
The River's Edge is a private, 21-and-over, clothing-optional campground for the gay and lesbian community on 65 acres in Elbert County, northeast Georgia, about 90 miles east of Atlanta near the South Carolina line. The campground says it has been going for more than 30 years and describes itself as a secure, welcoming and inclusive sanctuary. A valid membership is required to book. It lists more than 175 camping options: 30 indoor cabins, 44 RV sites including pull-throughs, 38 electric tent sites and 71 non-electric tent sites. Prices are shown in the booking system rather than on a rate page, and bookings are open well into 2027. The grounds have a heated in-ground pool, a hot tub, a clubhouse and pavilion, a bathhouse, a seasonal cafe open Memorial Day to Labor Day, free Wi-Fi, EV charging, an RV dump, a fire pit and trails. There is a Friday evening meet-and-greet, and the autumn and winter calendar runs a Pirate Weekend, a Phantom of the Rose Halloween, the LumberSexual fall shot crawl, Thanksgiving and a New Year ring-in, alongside a long-running toy drive. The campground lists itself as pet friendly.
