Part of the Gay Denver Guide — bars, events & things to do.
Denver, Colorado
Denver's gay sports bar with 17 screens and heated patios.
Tight End is Denver's only dedicated gay sports bar, on the Colfax strip in Capitol Hill. Steven Alix — who also opened X Bar up the street — launched it in 2021 to fill an obvious gap: a room built around the gay community where the game is actually on, sound up. It runs 17 TVs and two heated patios, and serves as home base for local LGBTQ+ leagues including the Varsity Gay League and the Denver Area Softball League, with drink deals for members. Game days are the main event, with sound-on coverage of the major sports; the rest of the week fills in with drag bingo, karaoke, and trivia, plus a pool table, darts, cornhole, and a digital jukebox. There's an in-house pizzeria for the long afternoons. It's the natural spot in Denver to catch a game in a crowd that's cheering with you, not at you.
