Men-only sauna and bar in the Jewellery Quarter
Yumbo is a men-only sauna and bar on Hockley Hill, on the edge of the Jewellery Quarter, which bills itself as Birmingham's newest premium men's sauna and cruise bar. Upstairs is what it calls a gay and bisexual sauna, spread over several floors, with a dry sauna, a steam room, a jacuzzi, a cold plunge, changing rooms and showers. Downstairs there's a fully licensed bar with cocktails and a lounge. On Friday and Saturday nights the bar turns into a cruise bar from 7pm until late. Entry is through a discreet entrance on Vyse Street. It runs a monthly membership with perks such as fast-track entry and access to a private suite, but non-members are welcome too, and the suite can be hired.
