Civic Center (Grove Street)
Grove St btwn Van Ness Ave & Polk St, San Francisco, CA 94102Soul of Pride 2026, San Francisco's Black LGBTQ+ Pride celebration, returns for its 25th anniversary across Saturday June 27 and Sunday June 28, 2026, anchoring Black culture inside the official SF Pride festival at Civic Center. You'll find it at the Soul of Pride stage on Grove Street between Van Ness and Polk, tucked into the larger Civic Center footprint where the whole city converges for Pride weekend. The festival runs 11 AM to 6 PM both days, and this stage has held down Black Pride presence at SF Pride for a quarter century now, which is exactly why it feels less like a programmed corner and more like a family reunion. Expect music, dance, drag, spoken word, and DJs spinning Black queer culture into something loud and joyful. It is free with festival entry, so come early, pace yourself, and let the lineup carry you. Getting there is easy. Take BART straight to Civic Center/UN Plaza and walk a couple of blocks to the Grove Street stage, or ride a Muni Metro line into the same station. Tap your Clipper card and skip the ticket lines. Late June in San Francisco is sneaky, so layer up. Karl the Fog rolls in by afternoon and the temperature drops fast once the sun dips behind the buildings. Here's the local move. Plenty of folks plant themselves at the Main Stage and never wander, but the Grove Street stage is one of the most community-rooted, genuinely joyful corners of the entire festival. Make a point of finding it. One note, this is the festival stage, distinct from San Francisco Black Pride Week in late August.
