Drag brunches, circuit nights & every party worth knowing in Miami — in your inbox every week.
Miami has drag on stage every night of the week, and much of it is free. Palace runs a show on Ocean Drive from 7 PM to midnight seven nights a week. Twist, a few blocks inland on Washington Avenue, has a named performer at midnight four nights a week and at 1 AM on Wednesdays, and has never charged a cover. R House in Wynwood turns its restaurant into a dinner show on Fridays and Saturdays, then into a dance floor.
This guide covers where to see drag shows in Miami after dark: the nightly Ocean Drive shows, the Wynwood dinner shows, the midnight numbers inside Twist, the seven-bar club on Washington Avenue, and the Latin drag scene on the mainland. For the daytime version, see our companion guide to drag brunch in Miami.
What to know before you go
- Much of it is free. Palace's Tuesday show is billed as complimentary, and Twist has no cover and no ticket, ever. R House's dinner shows are built around a reservation and a menu rather than a ticket.
- Age rules differ by room. Twist is 21+ with a government ID. R House is 18+ during drag shows. Palace publishes 18+ for brunch and nothing for the nightly shows, so ask if you are under 21.
- Showtimes run late. Palace starts at 7 PM, R House at 8 PM, and Twist's performers go on at midnight or 1 AM. Plan the night in that order if you want all three.
- Tip the performers. Cash tips during the numbers are expected at all of these rooms.
Pro Tip
Twist's shows are at midnight (1 AM on Wednesdays) and the club stays open until 5 AM. Eat first: Palace's 7 PM show on Ocean Drive is a few blocks away and runs until the Twist show starts.
Where to see drag shows in Miami
Palace Bar & Restaurant — Ocean Drive, South Beach
1052 Ocean Dr, Miami Beach · South Beach · Nightly shows 7 PM to midnight
Palace has run drag on Ocean Drive since 1988. By the venue's own account it opened in February 1988 at 1200 Ocean Drive and moved to its current address, 1052 Ocean Drive, in July 2017, a short walk from 12th Street Beach. Its site puts it plainly: "Every night at Palace, the stage on Ocean Drive becomes a runway."
The venue publishes shows every night from 7 PM to midnight, with four named weeknight shows and a different host for each. Tuesday is the budget night, with $5 tacos, $10 Patrón margaritas and a show the venue bills as complimentary. Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights appear only in the venue's show-hours line ("Mon-Sun: 7 PM – 12 AM") with no name attached. Palace is open until 2 AM Friday to Sunday and 1 AM the rest of the week.

R House Wynwood — Wynwood
2727 NW 2nd Ave, Miami · Wynwood · Drag dinner shows Friday and Saturday, 8 PM
R House opened in 2014 as part restaurant and part art gallery, run by husbands Rocco Carulli, the chef, and Owen Bale. The weekend drag brunch is what made its name, and the same stage runs two dinner shows a week. The venue describes the format as the restaurant transforming "from a lively drag dinner show into an electrifying dance floor, fueled by a lineup of local DJs."
Both nights follow the same clock: happy hour from 4 PM, dinner service from 6:30 PM, show at 8 PM. Friday is Turn It Out. Saturday is ICONS, which the venue calls "an impersonation-driven drag show celebrating the most influential figures and moments in pop culture," with the performers working right at your table. À la carte and set menus are both available, bottomless dinner packages exist, and VIP bottle service gets front-row seating. Guests must be 18+ with a valid ID during the shows. The venue also says that from January through April its Fridays switch to RuPaul's Drag Race viewing parties with its resident queens, so check the calendar in winter.
- Friday, 8 PM — Turn It Out: Friday Night Show (dinner from 6:30 PM)
- Saturday, 8 PM — ICONS: Saturday Night Show (dinner from 6:30 PM)
Schedule last updated October 22, 2026 — confirm and reserve at rhousewynwood.com or (305) 576-0201.
Pro Tip
R House's Friday and Saturday shows become a dance party once the plates clear. If you want the show without the dinner bill, R House's booking page says you can come for drinks at the bar.
Twist — Washington Avenue, South Beach
1057 Washington Ave, Miami Beach · South Beach · Drag at midnight Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, 1 AM Wednesday, never a cover
Twist was founded in 1993, and its pitch has not changed: "seven bars in one," three dance floors, open every day from 3 PM to 5 AM, and "never a cover, always a groove." The venue answers the question "Which nights do you have drag queens?" on its own FAQ: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. Each of those nights has a named performer and a showtime; Wednesday, Thursday and Friday run in the Main Room, Sunday in the Latin Room, and Tuesday is the Bar 4 night.
Twist is 21+ with a current government ID, and the dress code bans flip-flops, oversized baggy clothing and large bags. Two-for-one drinks run from 3 PM to 9 PM daily. Monday is a Latin dance night (Los Hermanos del Sabor at midnight in Bar 5) and Saturday is a guest-DJ night; neither lists drag.
- Tuesday, 12 AM — Akasha Tuesdays in Bar 4, Akasha O'Hara Lords at midnight
- Wednesday, 10 PM — 5 Minutes of Fame Karaoke, hosted by TP Lords in the Bungalow Bar
- Wednesday, 1 AM — FRESH Wednesdays, TP Lords with DJ Aulden Brown in the Main Room
- Thursday, 12 AM — Sabroso Thursdays, Latin night hosted by Poizon Ivy in the Main Room
- Friday, 12 AM — Hot Fridays, CC Glitzer with DJ Tony Zuccaro in the Main Room
- Sunday, 12 AM — Fiesta Latina Sundays, Josefina La Mujer de los Globos in the Latin Room

2301 SW 32nd Ave, Miami · Coral Way, near Little Havana · Cabaret shows Thursday to Sunday from 10 PM
Azucar is a Spanish-language drag club on the mainland, a nightclub off Coral Way where the shows and the venue's own posts are in Spanish. The venue does not publish a weekly grid. Its Instagram bio says "shows de jueves a domingos," its Threads bio says "desde las 10 PM show de cabaret," and its Instagram posts carry the rest: Miss Azucar and Mr Azucar 2026 titles posted in October, and a drag "Makeover Challenge" competition announced for November 25. Reservations are by phone, and cover and age policy are not published.
- Thursday to Sunday, from 10 PM — cabaret drag shows, lineup announced on Instagram
- November 25, 2026 — Makeover Challenge drag competition opens
Schedule last updated October 22, 2026 — the venue posts its lineup on Instagram @azucar_shows; reservations (786) 602-3666.

Miami's big gay weekends land on top of this nightly calendar: Miami Beach Pride in April, Winter Party Festival in March and URGE Miami over Thanksgiving. R House posts one-off parties such as its Halloween night on its events page.
Where to stay
South Beach keeps Palace, Twist and the gay beach a few blocks from each other. Wynwood is a ride over the causeway, so most visitors base on the beach and ride out for R House. A few bookable picks below.
