Restored 1925 Classical Revival building turned hotel on the Avenue of the Arts.
The Aloft Philadelphia Downtown occupies the 1925 Liberty Title & Trust building, a 21-story Classical Revival landmark on North Broad Street. The conversion kept the good parts: a second-floor lounge with 27-foot coffered ceilings, arched windows, marble floors with mosaic tiling, and original bank vault details on display. The 179 rooms run compact but have nine-foot ceilings and oversized historic windows that let in real light. Downstairs, the WXYZ bar has a pool table, tabletop games, and an outdoor patio with a firepit. The hotel sits one block north of City Hall, about a 10-minute walk from the Gayborhood along Philly's flat, walkable grid. Reading Terminal Market is five minutes northeast on foot. Pet-friendly with no fee.
