Lehighton, Pennsylvania
Clothing-optional LGBTQ+ campground resort on 161 Pocono acres, May to October
The Woods is a membership-only, clothing-optional LGBTQ+ camping resort in the Poconos, about 70 miles north of Philadelphia. It opened in 2004 on 161 acres with streams and a four-acre lake, and the season runs May through October. Everyone 18 and over is welcome; the campground's own rules put it plainly: all guests are expected to treat each other as equals. Every area of the property except the inside dining room is clothing optional, and public sexual activity is not allowed. You can pitch a tent, bring a trailer or pop-up, or park a big rig on one of the mostly 50-amp sites. There are also 39 cabins and three park-model resort homes, booked through the site's calculator rather than a posted rate card. A season membership is $50 per person for 2026, or $25 for a seven-day temporary membership, paid at Guest Services on your first arrival. Day passes are sold on the same membership basis, with peak-season pricing from Memorial Day through Labor Day. On site: a pool, a dance club, a fitness center, The Cafe, volleyball, hiking, EV charging, golf-cart and bike rentals, and a BodyShop for massage and haircuts. Themed weekends include Bears at The Woods, Christmas in July, Illumination at the end of August, a cardboard boat race and a collector car showcase. Friendly dogs are allowed at sites on a leash but not in cabins or park models.
