Cincinnati, Ohio
Neighborhood gay bar in Covington's Mainstrasse Village, formerly 701 Bar
Bar 32, formerly known as 701 Bar, is a neighborhood gay bar in Covington's Mainstrasse Village, just across the river from downtown Cincinnati and open in this spot since 2014. It keeps a classic dive-bar feel: pool, shuffleboard, a wall of TVs tuned to sports, and a double-sided fireplace, with a mixed local crowd of regulars who skew unpretentious and come-as-you-are. Despite some listings suggesting rooftop views, this is a ground-level corner bar built for strong, reasonably priced drinks and easy conversation rather than spectacle. Karaoke and a welcoming room are the draw, and it sits in the same rainbow-crosswalk district as Rosie's a block away, making the two an easy back-to-back if you're bar-hopping Mainstrasse.
