Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Women-owned safe space café on Butler Street in Upper Lawrenceville since 2015.
Women-owned and self-identified as a Safe Space, Caffè d'Amore has been on Butler Street in Upper Lawrenceville since 2015 — part of what's become Pittsburgh's most walkable cluster of LGBTQ+ spots, within a short stroll of Blue Moon Bar, Sanctuary, and Trim. The coffee comes from micro-roasters Commonplace, Tanager, and Deeper Roots, with house-made syrups behind the counter (the lavender latte and black pepper cardamom latte are signatures). They also make their own lox in-house — an unusual move for a coffeeshop, and worth trying. Open mornings through early evening.
