Part of the Gay Puerto Vallarta Guide — bars, events & things to do.
Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco
Gay-owned hillside boutique hotel in Amapas with clothing-optional pool since 2002.
Casa Cupula is a gay-owned boutique hotel in Puerto Vallarta's Amapas hillside, open since 2002 and one of the first properties in the city built for LGBTQ+ travelers. The hotel offers about a dozen suites and rooms, most with private terraces, jacuzzis, or dipping pools overlooking Banderas Bay — the Penthouse Suite includes its own rooftop infinity pool. The clothing-optional pool club is open to the public and hosts regular events including drag brunches, DJ pool parties, and T-Dance afternoons. On-site dining through Cupula Bistro serves creative Mexican-inspired dishes. Amapas sits just uphill from Zona Romantica, providing the views and quiet of a residential neighborhood while remaining a five-minute walk from the district's bars and beaches.
