Petit Hotel Pilitas is an adults-only boutique hotel in the heart of the Zona Romántica, repositioned for LGBTQ+ travelers though guests of all orientations are welcome. Its 18 remodeled suites carry a Mexican-style look with air conditioning, kitchenettes, and new beds, and the property is built around a temperature-controlled courtyard pool with a jacuzzi and sun terraces tucked behind the street. A rooftop terrace adds ocean views over the neighborhood. It sits in Colonia Emiliano Zapata, a short walk from the Los Muertos Beach gay section and steps from the concentration of bars and restaurants that make this the city's gay district. The hotel previously operated as the Vallarta Cora, a name longtime visitors may remember, before a remodel and new gay-friendly management turned it into the quieter boutique stay it is now, a base for travelers who want to be in the middle of everything without staying in a party hotel.
