CC Slaughters is a gay dance bar in the heart of the Zona Romántica on Lázaro Cárdenas, the strip that holds most of Puerto Vallarta's gay nightlife. Open since 2011, it splits into two rooms: a smaller front bar leaning pop and Latin, and a larger air-conditioned back room with the main dance floor and a heavier club sound. The draw is the nightly drag show, which runs around 10 PM most nights and later on Saturdays. The crowd is mixed — local and international, a wide age range — and it tends to fill after the open-air corner bars wind down, making it a solid second or third stop on a Zona Romántica crawl rather than an early-evening sit-down spot. The air conditioning is its own selling point on a humid Vallarta night.
