Cherry's On The Bay is the bayfront bar, restaurant, and entertainment anchor of Cherry Grove, set on Bayview Walk with a deck over the Great South Bay and the adjoining Cherry Lane Cafe. It runs one of the most consistent drag calendars on Fire Island, with shows most nights in season from a rotating cast of New York and island queens, plus weekend drag brunch. The feel is relaxed and all-welcome, filling from afternoon cocktails on the water into late-night shows. Where the Pines leans toward tea dances and circuit DJs, Cherry Grove's scene is built around live drag, and Cherry's is its hub: the natural place to start or spend a Grove evening, a short walk from the ferry dock and the bay beach.
