Fire Island, New York
Waterfront bar and tiki deck overlooking Cherry Grove's ferry dock
Island Breeze is a seasonal waterfront bar and restaurant in Cherry Grove, Fire Island — the oldest gay and lesbian community in America, with LGBTQ+ roots dating to the 1940s. The outdoor deck and Tiki Bar overlook the ferry dock and Great South Bay, making it the default gathering spot for watching arrivals and catching sunsets. The menu runs casual American and seafood — burgers, fish and chips, ahi tuna, soft-shell crab — with cocktails, beer, and wine. Open roughly Memorial Day through Labor Day, with weekend hours starting at 11 AM.
