Ed Lugo Resort is a cluster of renovated 1950s Florida bungalows turned into an adults-only, clothing-optional resort for gay men, set right in the heart of Wilton Manors' entertainment district — steps from the bars and restaurants of Wilton Drive. Each unit has its own private outdoor entrance, and the grounds are built around a heated 40-foot pool with a waterfall, tropical gardens, and an unusually large orchid collection. Accommodations range from king suites with full kitchens to two-bedroom bungalows with washer/dryer, some with private outdoor couples' showers. A gym with steam room and sauna, a hot tub, and complimentary parking, drinks, and snacks are part of the deal. The resort deliberately keeps things small and unhurried — expect a quiet, social atmosphere rather than a party scene, with the nightlife waiting just outside the gate.
