Fort Lauderdale has ten gay resorts and guesthouses, most of them men-only and clothing-optional, split between the beach side and Wilton Manors. Here is each one, what its own site says about pools, policies and rates, which ones sell day passes, and the all-welcome beach hotels to pick if you want the ocean instead of a walled garden.

Fort Lauderdale's gay resorts come in two clusters. On the beach side, a 96-room men's complex sits two blocks from the Atlantic, with smaller guesthouses tucked into the residential streets between the ocean and downtown, plus a leather resort south of downtown near the port. Four miles inland, Wilton Manors has its own set of small clothing-optional guesthouses a block or two from the Wilton Drive bars. This guide covers every gay resort and men's guesthouse operating in Fort Lauderdale and Wilton Manors as of October 2026, using the policies, pool counts, day-pass prices and rates published on each property's own site, then the all-welcome beach hotels for anyone who would rather have the ocean than a walled courtyard. If you want the broader list of hotels, including mainstream and downtown options, see our Gay Friendly hotels in Fort Lauderdale guide; this one is resorts only.

Pro Tip

The resorts fill around the city's four big weekends: [Wicked Manors](https://outxout.com/event/wicked-manors) on Halloween night, [Pig Week](https://outxout.com/event/pig-week-fort-lauderdale) from late November into early December, [Stonewall Pride Wilton Manors](https://outxout.com/event/stonewall-pride-wilton-manors) in June and [South Florida Black Pride](https://outxout.com/event/south-florida-black-pride) in October. The Wilton Manors guesthouses are small and sell out first, so book those before the resorts near the beach.

Clothing-Optional or Not

This is the question behind most searches for Fort Lauderdale gay resorts, so here it is property by property, in the words each site uses:

  • The Grand Resort and Spa / The Worthington: "all-male, 21+ clothing-optional experience"; the Worthington describes "a large sun-drenched clothing optional courtyard"
  • Pineapple Point: "clothing-optional gay luxury resort" with "clothing optional pool areas"
  • The Big Coconut: "as always, clothing is optional"
  • Inn Leather: "MEN ONLY, clothing optional facility," including a clothing-optional gym
  • Cabanas: "a full-service clothing optional guesthouse"
  • Ed Lugo Resort: "clothing optional resort as of November 1, 2021," with a clothing-optional pool area and private outdoor showers
  • Calypso Inn and Inn On The Drive: both listed as clothing-optional in our venue directory; Calypso's site was offline and Inn On The Drive's resort page now redirects to a rental index, so neither is quoted from its own site
  • Coral Reef Guesthouse: adults-only (25 and up); its site does not publish a clothing policy

Clothing-optional means the pool deck and courtyard inside the walls. Sebastian Street Beach is a public city beach, not a nude beach; The Big Coconut's own site points guests who want one to Haulover Beach in Miami-Dade.

Outside Wilton Manors: Birch Road, Victoria Park, Coral Ridge and the Port

The Grand Resort and Spa

The Grand Resort and Spa (539 N Birch Rd) is the big one: an all-male, 21-and-up, clothing-optional complex two blocks from the ocean, operating since 1999, with 96 rooms, suites and penthouses across its connected buildings. The site lists four heated pools, three hot tubs, an on-site fitness center and a full-service day spa with massage, facials, waxing and nails, and it describes itself as Fort Lauderdale's first gay resort with its own spa. A daily continental breakfast is included. Policies worth reading before you book: every additional adult is $100 a night, pet-friendly rooms carry a $50 nightly charge, and the site says Sebastian Street Beach is a 15-minute walk and Wilton Drive a 15-minute drive. Day passes appear only for specific events (a March party was listed at $50 for non-guests).

The Worthington

The Worthington (543 N Birch Rd) is the other half of the same complex, operated by the Grand; its own pages count three heated pools where the Grand's say four, and list a pool-view fitness room. Its own site lists the minimum age as 21 "to be on the property," parking at $10 a day and 13 percent tax on top of quoted rates, with morning coffee, bagels and pastries. It puts Sebastian Street Beach at a five-minute walk, against the Grand's 15. The Alcazar building, part of the complex, dates to 1959. The Worthington bills itself as the largest gay men's clothing-optional resort in the country; treat that as the resort's own claim.

Pineapple Point Guesthouse & Resort

Pineapple Point (315 NE 16th Terrace) publishes both its rates and its size: six buildings on more than two acres in Victoria Park, open since 1999, describing itself as a clothing-optional luxury resort for men. The property has a main pool, a lap pool and two whirlpools, a compact gym, two massage studios open to non-guests, complimentary bikes and free parking. Continental breakfast and a nightly happy hour at dusk are included in every season. Rates are on the site: a Deluxe King runs $315 a night in low season (May 1 to November 14), $415 in high season (November 15 to January 31 and April) and $445 in peak season (February and March); one-bedroom suites with kitchens start at $415, the villas run $515 to $845 depending on type and season, and holidays go higher. Day passes are $40, 11 AM to 5 PM, on most days. A stay-three-get-the-fourth-free offer runs December 1 to 15, 2026 and again May through October 15, 2027, for direct bookings only. Wilton Drive is a ten-minute drive.

The Big Coconut Guesthouse

The Big Coconut (1021 NE 13th Ave) is the mid-price men's guesthouse just off Sunrise Boulevard, which its site describes as halfway between the beach and Wilton Manors and one bridge from Sebastian Street Beach, run by the team behind the former Coconut Cove. Rooms come as Studio Kings, Standard Kings, Standard Double Queens and a Penthouse around a pool and garden patio, with a complimentary continental breakfast and happy hour; the heated pool, hot tub, kitchenettes and 17-room count come from our venue listing, not the site. The site publishes four seasonal rate tiers: a Studio King or Standard Double Queen is $169 in summer, $199 in spring and fall and $239 in winter (December 20 to April 22); the Standard King is $159 to $229; the Penthouse $229 to $299. The fifth night is free in most seasons and the seventh in winter, holidays excluded. The Little Coconut across the street at 1016 NE 13th Ave adds a queen efficiency ($139 to $179) and a one-bedroom suite ($199 to $279). Online booking was down in October 2026; the site says to call 954-712-9600.

Coral Reef Guesthouse

Coral Reef Guesthouse (2609 NE 13th Ct) is the quiet eight-room option north of Sunrise Boulevard (Coral Ridge, about a mile from the beach, per our venue listing; the site gives no neighborhood or distance): an adults-only (25 and up) bed and breakfast with a heated pool and a 12-person jacuzzi, both open 24 hours. Continental breakfast is served 8 to 11 AM in the busy season from mid-October to mid-May. No pets, non-smoking rooms, quiet hours observed. Our venue listing has it as gay-owned and men-only; the site itself says adults-only rather than men-only and does not say the pool is clothing-optional, so go by the site.

Inn Leather Guest House & Resort

Inn Leather (610 SE 19th St) is the leather and fetish resort, gated, men only and clothing optional, in a former Navy and Air Force barracks less than a mile from the airport and cruise port. Rooms run from studios to suites with playrooms and a dungeon room, every one with a sling per our venue listing. The grounds have a heated pool, hot tub, a clothing-optional gym and on-site massage by appointment; continental breakfast and off-street parking are free. Studios are listed from $140 a night, there is a two-hour daily room rental, and day passes are $15 (the site lists the hours as 10 AM to 5 PM in one place and 10 AM to 6 PM in another, so call to confirm). Monthly themed events are posted on its Facebook page.

Wilton Manors: The Guesthouses Near the Drive

Wilton Manors is the city with the bars. Staying here means walking home from Wilton Drive instead of a rideshare, at the cost of a 15-minute drive to the beach. The four properties below are all small.

Cabanas Guesthouse & Spa

Cabanas (2209 NE 26th St) calls itself Fort Lauderdale's premier gay men's resort and has been open 26 years. Its site lists two heated pools, a jacuzzi beside the Tiki Bar, a men's day spa and a continental breakfast, with gated off-street parking. Rooms run from standard queens to a two-bedroom suite and waterfront kings. Extra guests are $25 a night. Day passes are $30, or $40 on holidays, daily from 10 AM to 5:30 PM, no coolers.

Ed Lugo Resort

Ed Lugo Resort (2404 NE 8th Ave) is a cluster of 1950s Florida bungalows steps from the Wilton Drive bars and restaurants, adults-only and gay-male catered, clothing-optional since November 2021. There is one pool, a 40-foot heated one with a waterfall, plus a hot tub and clothing-optional outdoor showers. Three king suites have full kitchens, two units have an outdoor couples shower, and there are two-bedroom bungalows and single rooms. No breakfast is served (the site cites county licensing), but water, sodas, coffee, snacks and cocktails are complimentary, parking is on site, and small well-behaved pets are welcome. The beach and Las Olas are under three miles away.

Calypso Inn

Calypso Inn (2520 NE 6th Ave) is a men-only, clothing-optional guesthouse one block off Wilton Drive, gay-owned since a 2013 renovation, built around a lagoon-shaped pool in a tropical garden. Rooms come in king and queen layouts with private baths, mini fridges and microwaves; a light continental breakfast and on-site laundry are included. Its website was not reachable in October 2026, so these details are from our venue listing; book through its listing or call before you rely on current rates.

Inn On The Drive

Inn On The Drive (2405 NE 7th Ave) is the former Islands Inn, now run as one adults-only, clothing-optional property just off Wilton Drive with three heated pools, a hot tub, a private workout area and a tiled patio with daybeds. Day passes are $15. Its own resort page now redirects to the Le Chateau vacation-rental index, where it is listed as Islands Inn On The Drive, so the pools, day-pass price and policy here come from our venue listing; confirm before you rely on them.

Wilton Manors gay guesthouses

Pro Tip

Resort fees and extra-guest charges are the hidden line. The Grand charges $100 a night per additional adult and Cabanas $25; Florida and Broward taxes add 13 percent everywhere, and the Worthington charges $10 a day for parking. Pineapple Point and The Big Coconut publish their full seasonal rate tables, which makes them the easiest to budget.

I'm Robbie, the founder of Out x Out. I'm from Minneapolis, though I'm spending 2026 building this community from the road — somewhere between South America and Asia. The idea for Out x Out came from a trip to Berlin, where the gay nightlife calendar was years ahead of ours: you could see not just where to go out, but which night to go — so naturally I wanted that kind of insider info for every city in the US (and beyond... eventually). I'm more of a behind-the-scenes type, but the whole point of this is connection: I'd take one real one over a hundred surface-level ones, and I'm trying to build that for the community, city by city.
