San Juan, Puerto Rico
Chic cocktail bar with an app-based DJ booth at Hotel San Jorge
LadyBugBar is a queer cocktail lounge tucked inside the San Jorge Hotel, on the Santurce side of the line with Condado. The drinks are the draw: a curated cocktail list served in proper glassware, with a signature Old Fashioned and rotating seasonal pours, plus wines and tapas. Food comes by way of a partnership with Asia de Lima, the Peruvian-Asian restaurant that shares the hotel address. The room is polished and modern, set up for a sophisticated night out and easy conversation with locals. It bills itself as a video bar where, through its own app, patrons can take over the music and play DJ for the room. The spot between Santurce and Condado makes it a convenient stop close to the Condado hotels.
