Le Cocktail sits at the northern top of the Village strip on Sainte-Catherine Est, a drag-and-karaoke bar long associated with Michel Dorion, the Quebec drag veteran widely regarded as the province's definitive Celine Dion impersonator. Dorion co-owned the bar for 14 years before selling it in early 2026 to the team behind Aigle Noir, who kept the name and the drag-and-karaoke format intact. The two-level room pairs a red-lit main floor with a mezzanine, plus a summer terrace, and the bill mixes drag revues with nightly karaoke on a serious sound system. Themed weekend drag nights and Sunday shows remain the marquee draws, anchored by karaoke and the bar's drag-pageant traditions. Programming runs largely in French and pulls a local crowd in their 30s and 40s, which gives the room a more rooted, neighborhood feel than the tourist-heavy clubs nearby. The cocktail list is deep and fairly priced, and midweek brings lighter draws like a drink-and-draw life-drawing night. If you want to see homegrown Quebec drag rather than a touring show, this is the address.
