Provincetown, Massachusetts
Mid-century beachfront hotel with P-town's largest outdoor pool
Provincetown Inn is a 102-room hotel at 1 Commercial Street — the far West End, on six acres of waterfront land where the Pilgrims first landed and the Mayflower Compact was signed. The property has Provincetown's largest outdoor pool (shaped like a Pilgrim hat), private beach access, the West End Lounge restaurant, and on-site parking included — a real draw in a town where spots are scarce. Built in the 1920s by Joshua Paine and expanded through the mid-century, the hotel has been a Provincetown fixture for a hundred years. Don Aikens murals from the late 1960s line the interior hallways depicting the town's history. During Bear Week, the Inn hosts the annual Bear Market and memorial pool party. Rooms start around $139 in shoulder season and run $215 to $319 in summer.
