Proctor, West Virginia
Gay-owned men's resort and campground on 222 acres in the West Virginia hills, open year-round
Roseland is a gay-owned and operated resort and campground for men 21 and over on 222 acres in the hills of Marshall County, West Virginia, about 90 miles from Pittsburgh. It is open all year, with a calendar of themed weekends that runs from spring through a Bones Halloween weekend and then a block of weekends labelled Co-Ed Weekends from early November through late December. Nudity is permitted in all areas except the Walnut Tree Restaurant, and the resort describes its 11 miles of trails as clothing optional. Membership is $25 per person per season, valid January through December. Camping is by the person: tent sites with water from $35, tent sites with electric and water and RV sites for rigs up to 40 feet at $40 per person. Indoors there are rooms in the Granary, the Guest House and Rose Hall, and Sleeper, JR Deluxe and Deluxe cabins, with sleeper cabins listed at $130 a night and JR Deluxe at $140 for two, plus tax. Weekends carry a two-night minimum, and the seventh night of a six-night stay is free. The grounds have a pool, two hot tubs, 11 miles of hiking trails, hammocks and campfires, and the Town Hall for music and dancing. Pets are $50 each, allowed in cabins and free at tent and RV sites but not in rooms. A day pass for a daytime visit is $35.
