Portland, Oregon
Two-floor gay strip club and dive bar in Old Town.
Silverado is Portland's gay strip club, running for more than three decades and now anchored at 610 NW Couch Street in Old Town Chinatown, where it landed in late 2018. Portland Mercury has called it the Pacific Northwest's longest-operating male strip club, and it splits cleanly across two floors: a laid-back upstairs bar with pool and karaoke, and a basement where the male dancers and the real late-night energy live. For years it was the only gay strip club in town; these days it's one of just two, which keeps it a fixture of the local scene rather than a novelty. Come for the dancers or just for a low-stakes drink upstairs, it works either way, and it's been working that way longer than almost anywhere else in the city's nightlife.
