St. Petersburg, Florida
Pop-art LGBTQ+ cocktail lounge with queer icon drinks in Grand Central
The Ball is an LGBTQ+ cocktail lounge in St. Petersburg's Grand Central District — the heart of the city's gayborhood. Behind the hot-pink front door, the room opens into a pop-art space with bold colors, crystal chandeliers, and a glittering disco-ball DJ booth. The cocktail menu is named after queer icons (the Chappell, the Elton), and elevated tapas round out the food side. 21+, open Tuesday through Sunday from 4 PM to 3 AM. Owned by David Fischer, who also runs COCKtail St. Pete and The Wet Spot nearby, The Ball fills a lounge-paced alternative to the district's dance clubs. Local DJs spin most nights, but the energy stays more conversation-and-cocktails than bottle-service chaos.
