Small luxury hotel in a Mount Vernon mansion
The Ivy Hotel is a small luxury hotel in an 1889 mansion on East Biddle Street in Mount Vernon, with a small spa, a library, a billiards table, a garden and its restaurant, Magdalena, A Maryland Bistro. The Michelin Guide gives it two Keys, and the hotel bills itself as the only one in Maryland with that rating. This is the splurge option for a Mount Vernon stay, with the neighborhood's gay bars a short walk away. The hotel says most room rates include everything except dinner and spa treatments, from breakfast and cocktails at the Mansion Bar to a house car for trips within three miles. Dogs under 25 lbs are welcome for a fee.
