Providence, Rhode Island
Fruit Loop LGBTQ+ cocktail lounge with a Saturday T-Dance
The VU Lounge & Bistro is an LGBTQ+ cocktail lounge and speakeasy on Chestnut Street in Providence's Fruit Loop, the city's cluster of LGBTQ+ bars, which bills itself as the city's favorite LGBTQ+ destination. Its calendar runs to karaoke, comedy and tribute shows, and its Saturday T-Dance, hosted by DJ Transcendence, is a night of music built to support the trans and gender-nonconforming community. Rhode Island Monthly called it the Fruit Loop's newest addition in April 2026. It's open Tuesday to Sunday from early evening.
