Tool Shed is Palm Springs' leather-and-Levi cruise bar, operating near the Warm Sands and Sunny Dunes district since 1993. It works as a low-key corner bar by day and shifts into a darker, cruisier room at night, with DJs, go-go dancers, and themed events drawing a butch, mostly older gay-male crowd that values an unpretentious, no-frills space. It's the city's dedicated home for the leather and Levi community, and it leans into that identity without taking itself too seriously. The bartenders are friendly, the jukebox does a lot of the work, and newcomers who are curious about the scene get the same welcome as the regulars. For a leather-minded traveler, it's the obvious anchor for a night in this stretch of Palm Springs.
