Bar Taboo is a gay male strip club at the eastern edge of Montreal's Gay Village, near the Papineau Metro on Boulevard de Maisonneuve. Male dancers work a central stage nightly while resident DJs keep the room moving, and there's no cover at the door. Weeknights run quieter and more interactive; weekends fill out for higher-energy sets. Beyond the stage it works as a regular neighborhood bar too, with a full bar, a pool table, private dances, and VIP bottle service for those who want it. Sundays and Tuesdays are billed as Trans Night, and the club occasionally books touring male revues and community events. A bit removed from the Sainte-Catherine core, it's the lower-key, locals-leaning option among the Village's strip bars rather than the splashiest.
