Part of the Gay Detroit Guide — bars, events & things to do.

Detroit, Michigan
Detroit's 24-hour gay bathhouse — private rooms, steam room, and hot tub.
Body Zone is a gay men's bathhouse on East McNichols Road on Detroit's north side, open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The renovated facility runs the full bathhouse layout: private rooms for rent, a steam room, an open shower room, TV lounges, workout equipment, and a hot tub. Entry works on a membership-plus-room-or-locker basis, men only. It's the city's main bathhouse and its busiest — local public-health outreach has long pointed to Body Zone as metro Detroit's most-trafficked men's sauna, drawing a steady crowd across every hour of the day and night. Beyond the standard run of the house, it programs themed nights and lights-down 'blackout' parties. For a traveler, it's the default after-hours option in a city whose dedicated cruising venues are thin on the ground.
