Himmelreich is a queer café-bar on Friedrichshain's Simon-Dach-Straße, one of Berlin's busiest nightlife strips, open since 2003. The interior reads more living room than club — velvet-gold accents, vintage 1950s armchairs, and black-and-white photos against deep red walls — and in summer the terrace puts you right in the flow of the passing crowd. It's a relaxed, mixed queer spot built around cocktails, homemade cake, and the occasional DJ set rather than a dance floor, and it doubles as a safe space for FLINTA* guests with regular dedicated nights, including a long-running women's and lesbian lounge. That makes it a useful anchor on a street that otherwise skews loud and straight: somewhere to start the evening over a good Margarita before the area fills up, or to land for cake and conversation in the afternoon.
