Berlin, Germany
Queer Thursday party at RAW-Gelände; drag, darkroom, techno until 8am.
Chantal's House of Shame is a Thursday-night institution, a weekly queer party that's been running for more than two decades, now at Lokschuppen (the former Suicide Circus) on the RAW grounds in Friedrichshain. It's one of Berlin's longest-running and most internationally known gay nights, the kind of fixture visitors plan a Thursday around. The party sprawls across an indoor electro floor, a separate open-air dance floor, a darkroom, a chill lounge, and an outdoor terrace, with a late-night drag and live show in the small hours. Doors are around midnight and it runs until well after sunrise. The crowd is primarily gay and queer but mixed and international. If you're in Berlin on a Thursday and want the big, sweaty, capital-G Gay party experience, this is the one that's outlasted almost everything around it.
